Rift Riff is a tower defense game with a distinctive mix of strategic depth and player-friendly mechanics. Developed by a team led by Adriaan de Jong of Hidden Folks fame, the game has you jumping rifts, fighting monsters, and plundering their world. The game’s hallmark is its forgiving gameplay towers respawn for free after waves, you can rebuild mistakenly built structures, and failing is as easy as replaying the last wave. The strategic layer involves choosing from 14 tower types and their placement to counter 25 different monster types with unique behaviors. With around 10-15 hours of content spanning 15 worlds, 6 companion characters to help you defend, and 30 side quests, the game has a lot of depth. Built on the Godot engine, Rift Riff includes all the standard Steam features such as achievements, controller , and cloud saves.
