An Amazing Wizard throws you into a whirlwind of magic and chaos. This 2D roguelike promises ever-changing labyrinths, each unique thanks to procedurally generated worlds. The game boasts a metroidvania twist, encouraging exploration and backtracking as you unlock new abilities. The story unfolds with a classic twist. You are the chosen one, burdened with amnesia and immense magical potential.
There is a catch, however: you cannot cast spells directly. Your trusty Magic Hands come to the rescue, channeling your will into devastating attacks. But who stole your memories and why are you trapped in this chaotic dimension? The answers lie at the end of a winding path guarded by fearsome enemies. An Amazing Wizard is a veritable buffet of spell possibilities. Choose one of seven elements, then dive into a pool of over 100 spells. Feeling like a fiery being? Combine a fireball with a homing spell to create an inferno that’s rushing towards heat. Want to make lightning rain?
No problem — find the right charm and summon a storm. As you travel through five twisted worlds, you’ll encounter enemies ranging from common mobs to elite bosses that will test your skills to the limit. Death is inevitable in An Amazing Wizard, which is an integral part of the roguelite. Every time you fall, you lose everything you’ve collected during the game. But fear not, as permanent upgrades offer a glimmer of hope. There are over 250 of them, and you can customize your starting gear, tweak your character’s stats.
